TO ATTACH AND LOCK CAMENAE STRAPS TO BAGS

Place the strap along the top of the bag, aligning the metal locks at each end of the strap with the metal locks on either end of the bag.

Insert the metal prong of the strap lock component into the opening of the bag lock component on both ends.

Click into place to ensure the components are fully connected on both ends.

For security, Camenae recommends that straps are locked by key to bags at all times:

Two identical security keys are secured to the interior of every bag.

Unclip the keys and extend to the fully connected lock.

Insert the key in the keyhole, turn the key 360 degrees, and then remove.

Repeat the locking procedure on both ends.

To ensure your strap is locked, squeeze the two circular metal ‘buttons’ on the locks together. If neither of the buttons move, and the strap does not release, your strap is locked.

TO REMOVE CAMENAE STRAPS FROM BAGS

Unclip the keys from the interior of the bag and extend to the bag/strap lock.

Insert the key in the keyhole, turn the key 360 degrees, and remove.

To release the strap from the bag, squeeze the two circular metal ‘buttons’ on the lock together.

Only one of the ‘buttons’ will move inward to release the top part of the lock component on the strap.

Repeat for both locks.

Replace keys in your bag.

SUGGESTED CARE

Leather is a natural material with individual character. With use, the surface of the leather may change and products will soften.

Separate light from dark leathers to avoid discoloration.

For best storage care, keep products in the soft pouch provided.

For bags, place loosely crinkled, white, acid-free tissue paper inside the bag, zip closed and store in the soft pouch provided. Store the strap detached and laid flat in its individual soft pouch.

A neutral polish can be used to brighten and care for leather. Meltonian by Kiwi is safe for color leather and should be applied with a soft cloth then wiped off with a clean, dry piece of the same soft material.

Snakeskin is fragile thus product use is not recommended for snakeskins. Over time, scales may lift, at which point the snakeskin can be lacquered, however lacquering may change the appearance of the skin.

Patent leathers may be cleaned with a soft piece of cheesecloth, lightly dampened with white vinegar, and gently wiping the surface. Wipe off with a clean, dry piece of the same soft material.
